Trang Bom is one of the districts with many industrial parks with a very high population density. This is a factor promoting the economic development of the district in particular and of Dong Nai province in general, but it is accompanied by problems related to policy issues of social security, health... and especially is education. In recent years, finding a learning environment for high school students is a difficult problem for students and parents; It is also a matter of concern for local managers. Faced with the urgent needs of society, the provincial leaders have received the project of establishing Dong Nai Forestry High School of Forestry University. At that time, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee fully supported it, because it comes from the practical needs of society.

On March 1, Vietnam National University of Forestry solemnly held "The ceremony to announce the Decision to establish Dong Nai Forestry High School".

Vietnam National University of Forestry was established under Decision No. 127, dated August 19, 1964 of the Government Council. Realizing the mission "to be a place to provide high-quality human resources, which is influential and decisive to human resources in the forestry sector of the country, making a great contribution to the sustainable development of the country." Almost the past 60 years of construction and development, the school has continuously grown in all aspects, continuing to affirm its leading position in the forestry sector of the country. The development of the school over the past six decades has greatly contributed to the general development of the industry, as well as the rapid promotion of the industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas.

Implement the development goals and strategies of the University of Forestry in the new period; in which special attention is paid to the establishment of new units, improvement of training quality and diversification of training types towards autonomy. In order to meet the requirements of society, as well as contribute to solving the learning needs of high school students in Dong Nai province and throughout the country. After a period of actively implementing the project, on May 17, 2021, the Chairman of Dong Nai People's Committee signed Decision No. 1628/QD-UBND, on the establishment of Dong Nai Forestry High School. This is a type of public training school organized and operated according to current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; under the direction and management of the University of Forestry; the professional direction of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province.

Speaking at the ceremony to announce the establishment decision, Mr. Nguyen Son Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province shared: "Dong Nai Forestry High School was born at this time. However, there are many difficulties and challenges. To continue to carry out our mission and vision and continue promoting the good tradition of Forestry University nearly 60 years, during construction and development, the Board of Directors of Dong Nai Forestry High School in particular and the school's Pedagogical Council in general must continue taking advantage of opportunities, exploit all potentials and advantages, and overcome all difficulties. challenges in order to focus on improving the quality of education, considering this as the leading factor that determines the brand of the University.In the coming years, the school needs to foster and innovate management methods, teaching methods to suit the high school level, improving the quality of teaching and learning towards becoming a high-quality training school in the province and in the region."

Dong Nai Forestry High School was established as the first and completely new model in the province. The school is self-balanced in terms of operating costs, under the direct management of the Forestry University and professionally managed by the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province. With such an organizational model, this is an inevitable development that needs to be promoted and replicated in Dong Nai province in the coming years.
