On the afternoon of March 23, 2024, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan worked at Viet Nam National University of Forestry at Dong Nai (VNUF2). On the VNUF2 side, there was Dr. Nguyen Sy Ha - Deputy Director in charge, Dr. Mai Hai Chau – Deputy Director; MSc. Nguyen Truong Son - Principal of Dong Nai Forestry High School (Fschool), along with lecturers who are heads of functional departments, specialized faculties and affiliated centers.
At the meeting with the Minister and leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Nguyen Sy Ha - Deputy Director in charge reported an overview of the results achieved by VNUF2 in recent years. VNUF2 was established in 2008 and has entered its 16th year of undergraduate and postgraduate training. With a team of over 200 officials and workers, many of whom are prestigious professors, associate professors, and doctors, the school is constantly striving, dynamic, and creative, to build the campus to become a reputable center of education, training, and research, with the motto of well implementing the philosophy: "Practical - Creativity - Responsibility - Efficiency".

Dr. Nguyen Sy Ha also expressed that in the new period, there will be many challenges posed to the School regarding autonomy and social responsibility. Therefore, VNUF2 determines the key directions in the coming time as Continuing to promote enrollment promotion at all levels and training systems; Complete and promulgating the branch development strategy for the period 2021-2025, moving towards 2050; Review and rearranging the organizational structure, ensure streamlining, efficiency, and improve the quality of human resources; Develop a salary plan based on job position towards autonomy; Continue to invest in training facilities. Dr. Nguyen Sy Ha hopes that the Ministry's leaders will pay attention and create favorable conditions to support the school in terms of policies, mechanisms, facilities, training, and development of resources as well as promoting scientific topics and projects. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Le Minh Hoan highly appreciated the efforts of VNUF2 and Dong Nai Forestry High School in all aspects of work. The Minister expects that, as one of the units under the Ministry, VNUF in general and VNUF2 in particular will continuously develop into leading higher education institutions in training, providing high-quality human resources, and research. research and development, transfer of science and technology in the fields of forestry, environmental resources, engineering, technology, economic policy, and management.
In addition, the Minister also has suggestions, encouragement, and inspiration for the school's teaching staff and workers and believes that VNUF2 will always fulfill its mission of creating high-quality human resources to develop the southern region and the whole country.
