On January 19, 2016, at Cat Tien National Park, The Report signing ceremony memorizes the cooperation in education, training and scientific research took place between VNUF2 and The University of Montana - USA. The event is meaningful to strengthen the cooperation in the fields of education, training and scientific research between the two universities, and at the same time affirms the prestige of VNUF2 in the trend of integration and international cooperation.
Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of VNUF2, there were the presence of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Quang Bao – Director and the teachers who are Heads and Deputy Heads of units in the University; On the side of The University of Montana, there was the presence of Mrs. Marilyn Jo Marler and representatives of the management board of Cat Tien National Park.
At the signing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Quang Bao introduced the construction and development process of VNUF2. Inheriting and promoting the achievements of The University of Forestry as the leading university in Vietnam in the field of forestry, VNUF2 has continued to expand its training and scientific research activities. and technology development cooperation in the southern region. Established in 2008, after 7 years of operation, the University has obtained outstanding achievements in training and scientific research, creating links and cooperation with many domestic and foreign units. Contributing to the training of high-quality human resources for the southern region, towards international integration.
The Representatives of both sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in education and scientific research for the period 2015-2018
The signing ceremony was based on the principle of equality and mutual benefit to come to an agreement on ways to cooperate in education, training and scientific research. Promoting exchange of academic policies, academic cooperation, courses, training programs and internship programs for students on the basis of mutual benefit for both universities are the main contents of the cooperation program. In the program of the ceremony, the representative of VNUF2 presented souvenirs to the representative of Montana University, showing solidarity and cooperation.
The signing of a cooperation agreement between the VNUF2 and The University of Montana in the United States is an important first step, marking the outstanding development of the University in the development of international education.
