VNUF2 had a meeting and worked with the delegation of experts from Sopron University – Hungary on March, 4.
Attending the meeting, on the side of Sopron University - Hungary, there were Prof. Robert Nemeth - Director of the Wood Science Institute, Head of the Doctoral Training Department and members of the delegation; On the side of VNUF2, there was Dr. Mai Hai Chau – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director; Dr. Dinh Quang Tuyen – Director of Science, Technology and International Cooperation Department; Dr. Pham Van Huong – Deputy Director of Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation and lecturers who are Dean, Deputy Dean of Departments and lecturers of Industry & Architecture, Forestry, Natural Resources & Environment Department.

At the meeting, Dr. Mai Hai Chau briefly introduced the School Branch. Through his speech, Dr. Mai Hai Chau especially emphasized on outstanding achievements in training, scientific research and international cooperation to explore future opportunities for co-operation between the two units.

At the same time, Prof. Robert Nemeth shared about the bilateral cooperation project between Vietnam National University of Forestry and Sopron University - Hungary; he also shared about the opportunities to exchange students and lecturers in the fields of wood industry, forestry, resource management… at all three levels: undergraduate, graduate and doctoral. Prof. Robert Nemeth said that currently, Hungary is implementing a number of projects in Vietnam, in which VNUF2 is a partner to join in researching and publishing scientific articles on issues related to wood materials, wood processing technology, forest management, renewable energy, etc.
